LCSW
Hi! My name is Rosa Elena Totochenko. I am a caring and committed person who is passionate about healing and emphasizing the strengths of individuals, families, and communities. With your permission, I will work with you to create a safe space to share your story and express yourself in the way that best supports you in processing and navigating challenges and life transitions.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I also bring 10 years of social work practice at a community-based organization in Chicago, IL, providing direct services ranging from group and workshop facilitation and therapy to reflective supervision for staff and social work graduate students.
I can support you through navigating anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, relationship issues, and building coping skills. Based on your goals, I integrate talk therapy with a variety of techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-centered Therapy, and strength-based approaches. Based on your interests, I also incorporate holistic approaches to the mind, body, and spirit, such as mindfulness and traditional healing practices. I aim to collaborate with you to develop and achieve your therapy goals. I work with adults, couples, and young adults.
I am also a mother, a partner, a teacher, and a student. In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, being in nature, gardening, and being creative.
